Horse Technologies is part of Horse Powertrain Limited – an independent new powertrain solutions business, with over 125 years of heritage from Renault and Geely. We develop and produce world-class hybrid and combustion engines and transmissions to move our industry forward, offering many different paths to net zero. 

This role is employed by Horse Technologies Division and is based in Valladolid, with occasional travel possible to Horse Powertrain’s other sites.

What you will do

• Lead system development plans and ensure alignment with hardware and software development activities.

• Define and coordinate validation and testing plans for vehicle systems and electronic control units.

• Monitor testing activities, analyze results, investigate defects and ensure software compliance.

• Support validation teams by providing technical guidance and resolving critical issues.

• Coordinate project requirements, schedules, resources, milestones and risk mitigation actions.

• Ensure product and process convergence across hardware and software systems.

• Verify compliance with system standards and quality objectives throughout project development.

• Drive continuous improvement by capitalizing lessons learned and proposing process and standards enhancements.

What we’re looking for

• A proven track record in automotive systems development and validation; experience with embedded software architecture and functional validation is highly valued.

• An Engineering Degree or MSc in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related automotive discipline.

• Excellent skills in system architecture definition and system requirements management. Knowledge of embedded software architectures, validation methods for new functions, safety regulations and FMEA methodologies.

• Strong competencies in project coordination and stakeholder collaboration, with a collaborative approach. Strong interpersonal skills, a rigorous and proactive mindset, and the ability to work effectively in multicultural and international environments.

• Knowledge of the automotive sector, Horse Powertrain business, and our ambition to transform the industry.

• Excellent command of English and Spanish, both spoken and written; Spanish is required and French will be highly valued.
