About Horse Technologies

Horse Technologies is part of Horse Powertrain Limited – an independent new powertrain solutions business, with over 125 years of heritage from Renault and Geely. We develop and produce world-class hybrid and combustion engines and transmissions to move our industry forward, offering many different paths to net zero. 

This role is employed by Horse Technologies Division and is based in Valladolid, with occasional travel possible to Horse Powertrain’s other sites.

What you will do

• Lead product design activities from advanced engineering through industrialization and mass production.

• Translate technical specifications into robust and feasible engineering solutions.

• Develop and optimize 3D designs for engines, gearboxes, batteries and power electronics.

• Perform tolerance stack-up studies and apply GD&T principles to ensure product robustness.

• Create, review and validate engineering drawings, including supplier documentation.

• Assess supplier design proposals while considering assembly and fitability requirements.

• Ensure project quality, timing and compliance with development milestones.

• Capitalize and apply Horse standards, best practices and engineering know-how across projects.

What we’re looking for

• A proven track record in mechanical design and product development; experience with CATIA and GD&T methodologies will be highly valued.

• A Higher Education Certificate, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

• Excellent skills in 3D design and assembly development, including part design and manufacturing-oriented engineering.Knowledge of manufacturing processes, powertrain systems and project management tools such as Jira.

• Strong competencies in problem solving and teamwork, with a collaborative approach.

• Knowledge of the automotive sector, Horse Powertrain business, and our ambition to transform the industry.

• Excellent command of English and Spanish, both spoken and written; French will be valued.
