This role is employed by Horse Powertrain Solutions and is based in Madrid, Spain, with occasional travel possible to Horse Powertrain’s other sites.

What would you do?

Business Partnering

• Act as the key liaison between Project Management, Sales/Business Office, Engineering PMO, Finance, and Sales Administration.

Financial Management

• Lead the annual budgeting process for the R&D P&L and ensure alignment with multi-year project commitments.

• Monitor financial performance (Plan, Budget, Forecast) and drive convergence actions when deviations occur.

• Follow up and validate upfront project invoice payments.

• Ensure proper integration of RFQ inputs and cost modifications for new projects or customer-driven changes.

• Manage monthly financial reporting for each perimeter.

• Set up and participate in monthly project performance reviews.

Control & Compliance

• Review, validate, and submit monthly cost provisions with accounting.

• Ensure compliance by implementing and monitoring internal control processes and regularly evaluating their effectiveness.

• Oversee financial governance across multiple scopes.

What we’re looking for

• Solid experience in cost controlling with a strong understanding of end-to-end cost flows.

• Strong finance and accounting knowledge with advanced Excel capabilities.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

• SAP knowledge is a plus.
