Horse Technologies is part of Horse Powertrain Limited – an independent new powertrain solutions business, with over 125 years of heritage from Renault and Geely. We develop and produce world-class hybrid and combustion engines and transmissions to move our industry forward, offering many different paths to net zero. 

This role is employed by Horse Technologies Division and is based in Valladolid, Spain, with occasional travel possible to Horse Powertrain’s other sites.

What you will do

- Define system and safety requirements for ECU software functions.

- Conduct risk analysis and identify adverse events (EIC) and foreseeable uses (URP).

- Perform fault tree analysis and FMEA, including root-cause identification and treatment plans.

- Identify and validate degraded modes and safety concepts (FSC/TSC).

- Design dysfunctional validation tests and manage safety anomaly validation.

- Prepare safety and diagnosis synthesis files and risk management demonstration dossiers.

What we’re looking for

- A proven track record in functional safety management and failure mode analysis (FMEA).

- Engineering degree in Mechatronics or related fields (Mechanical, Electronics); MSc or PhD preferred.

- Excellent skills in system architecture definition and validation methods for new functions.

- Strong competencies in problem-solving and collaboration, with a multicultural approach.

- Knowledge of the automotive sector, Horse Powertrain business, and our ambition to transform the industry.

- Excellent command of English and Spanish, both spoken and written; French will be highly valued.
