This role is employed by Horse Technologies Division and is based in Valladolid, España, with occasional travel possible to Horse Powertrain’s other sites.

What you will do
- Defines and coordinates EE architecture for electrified powertrain components (e-motor, power electronics, battery), ensuring alignment with OEM applications and system requirements.
- Leads cross-functional teams to design, validate, and troubleshoot EE systems, managing project reviews and technical meetings across domains like HMI, wiring, EMC, and diagnostics.
- Ensures system integration and compatibility, overseeing the convergence of electronic systems (powertrain, battery, ADAS, infotainment) and tracking CAN/LIN usage.
- Manages ISR creation and validation, ensuring traceability and consistency of CAN parameters across systems.
- Monitors milestone progress, analyzing architecture changes and initiating corrective action plans when deviations occur.
What we’re looking for
- A proven track record in system engineering activities and software development within the automotive or EE domain.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering is required; a Master’s degree in Electric/Electronic Engineering or Mechanics with EE specialization is preferred.
- Excellent skills in diagnostics and troubleshooting of CAN/LIN networks and programming of controllers and battery management systems (C++, Python).
- Strong competencies in embedded systems architecture and communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet), with a collaborative approach.
- Knowledge of the automotive sector, Horse Powertrain business, and our ambition to transform the industry.
- Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.
