SW Model Base Junior Developer - Hybrid Shift Control
Develop and validate SW functions for ECM or hEVC, based on system requirements. Focus areas: Diesel After-treatment, Hybrid Control, Energy Management, and HV systems.

This role is employed by Horse Technologies Division and is based in Valladolid, Spain , with occasional travel possible to Horse Powertrain’s other sites.

What you will do
- Design smart solutions: Contribute to the development of software algorithms tailored to project needs, while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Validate with confidence: Create functional and dysfunctional validation plans, perform Model-In-the-Loop (MIL) testing, and deliver comprehensive test cases and validation reports.
- Support calibration excellence: Collaborate with SW tuning teams by providing clear documentation, pre-calibration datasets, and methodologies for calibration porting.
- Communicate your impact: Prepare technical reports to keep clients informed about your software developments and progress.
- Drive innovation across the lifecycle: Take part in software conception, validation, problem analysis, and testing on benches and vehicles to ensure robust performance.
- Be a key player in project success: Report regularly on the advancement of your software developments and contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge capitalization.
What we’re looking for
- A proven track record in embedded software architecture and Model-Based Design (MBD) using Matlab-Simulink.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering is required; a specialization in Automotive, Electrical Engineering, Automatics, Computers, or Electronics is preferred.
- Excellent skills in embedded software design and validation methods.
- Strong competencies in internal combustion or hybrid powertrain control systems and client responsiveness, with a collaborative and multicultural mindset.
- Knowledge of the automotive sector, HORSE Powertrain business, and our ambition to transform the industry is highly valued.
- Excellent command of English, both spoken and written; French is a plus.
