The Maintenance Performance Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing, and overseeing the company’s global maintenance policies and procedures. His/her role is to ensure the efficiency and reliability of maintenance equipment and systems at the corporate level while optimizing costs. In collaboration with HSE management, they develop measures to ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with applicable safety standards and regulations.
What you will do?
- Global Management of Maintenance Contracts (Corrective, Preventive, Legal): Coordinates with client plants on the preparation and review of workload logs and takes part in the negotiation of maintenance contracts with suppliers.
- Global Management of Spare Parts Performance: Maximizes the standardization of spare parts within Horse plants and with the JV by researching and evaluating new spare parts suppliers, and by participating in the negotiation of favorable prices and terms.
- Global Management of Maintenance Performance KPI: Establishes, measures, and monitors the appropriate performance KPIs (FTE, costs, reliability, effectiveness of the function) to maximize the efficiency of the maintenance function.
- Global Management of Industrial Equipment Obsolescence (excluding Utilities): Evaluates the lifecycle of equipment, tools, and maintenance systems using specific indicators.
- Global Management of Maintenance Information Systems (SAP4HANA Mto): Coordinates with plants and R&D centers on the activation of information systems aspects, standardizes their use, and coordinates with other involved departments (IS/IT, Digital, etc.) on the evolution and performance of these systems.
- Global Management of the Maintenance Function in Projects: Participates, along with project leads, in determining the maintenance requirements for projects.
What we are looking for
- A technical or higher university degree related to maintenance (Industrial, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering).
- Postgraduate training in project management, operations management, or similar fields is a plus.
- Over 15 years in industrial environments (production, maintenance) within complex settings (multinational, multisite, etc.).
- A minimum of 7 years of direct maintenance management experience (corrective, preventive, etc.).
- Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams in an international environment.
- Excellent proficiency in spoken and written English. Knowledge of at least another two languages (Spanish, French, Portuguese, or Romanian) is an asset.
- Familiarity with legal and regulatory maintenance standards.
- Extensive knowledge of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance techniques.
- Experience with maintenance management tools and software (SAP4HANA, CRM, ERP, etc.).
- Understanding of safety and environmental regulations.
- Ability to perform financial analysis and manage budgets.
