The Accounting Analyst is responsible for performing a variety of accounting duties, preparing journal entries, and managing monthly and quarterly account reconciliations, as well as periodical tax compliance.
What you will do
- Accurately prepare and book monthly journal entries.
- Diligently prepare various balance sheet account reconciliations, obtain the necessary detailed transactions for the account, and investigate and correct reconciling items.
- Preparing various monthly financial reports.
- Work closely with the Shared Service.
- Reviews monthly intercompany settlement process.
- Ensure that all accounting processes align with GAAP and current financial legislation.
- Assist on the annual audit.
- Ensure key balance sheet accounts are reconciled timely and accurately.
- Assist senior management with ad-hoc tasks
What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required or Equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting departments.
- Proven background in tax compliance. Experience in preparing tax returns (specially, VAT, withholding taxes (tax and no-tax residence), and other special taxes).
- Prior experience with SAP.
- Experience to work with Shared Services.
- Advanced PC skills using Outlook, Excel (ability to perform Pivots, V-lookups and other functions with Excel).
- Comprehensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Familiarity with IFRS accounting standards.
- Experience with financial reporting requirements.
- Ability to effectively and efficiently manage multiple tasks, prioritise and adjust as needs change.
- Ability to work to strict deadlines and in high pressure situations.
- Attention to detail and the ability to analyse large amounts of data.
- Capacity to move in a complex environment and under financial requirement challenges and competing priorities.
