We are currently seeking a Compliance Manager to join our team in Madrid. In this exciting role, you will support the global compliance program of Horse Powertrain Solutions. Your responsibilities will include ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, managing compliance programs, identifying legal risks, and proposing solutions to minimize penalties or legal actions.

What you will do
- Regulatory Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards, stay updated on industry legislative changes, oversee internal compliance policy implementation, and monitor relevant metrics and KPIs.
- Legal Risk Monitoring: Identify and assess legal risks, develop strategies to mitigate compliance risks, and prepare reports with recommendations for improvement.
- Implementation of Compliance Programs: Design and update internal compliance programs covering ethics, local and international regulations, and corporate policies, and conduct regular training for employees and collaborators.
- Audit and Process Review: Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies during reviews and audits.
- Legal Advice: Provide legal advice to various company areas, especially in interpreting and applying laws and regulations, and collaborate with the legal team to resolve compliance-related legal issues.
- Relationship with Regulatory Authorities: Serve as the main contact for regulatory agencies and government entities regarding compliance matters, and manage and coordinate responses to regulatory inquiries or investigations.
What we are looking for
- University degree in Law, Legal Sciences, or related fields
- 3 to 5 years of experience in compliance roles or legal departments, preferably in the business sector
- In-depth knowledge of local and international regulations.
- Strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and critical thinking
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively
