We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Powertrain Product Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design of the product from the advanced engineering phase, through the development phase, the industrialization phase, and mass production of various powertrain products.
What you will do
- Functional Analysis: Transcribe technical specifications into detailed technical solutions.
- Robustness Design: Ensure design robustness through stack-up tolerance studies and the application of functional GD&T.
- Development of 3D Proposals: Create and develop 3D design proposals using advanced modeling software.
- Drawing Validation: Generate and validate internal technical drawings, as well as review and approve supplier drawings.
- Supplier Proposal Evaluation: Analyze and validate supplier technical proposals, considering assembly and fitability constraints.
- Project Planning and Quality Management: Ensure proper planning and adherence to project quality standards.
- Capitalization of Standards and Knowledge: Utilize and apply the standards and know-how established by Horse rules.
What we are looking for
- Education: Certificate of Higher Education (FPII) or Bachelor's Degree. Degrees in Design, Design Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering are preferred.
- Languages: English is mandatory. French is valued but not mandatory.
- Experience in design activities will be highly value
- Knowledgeable in manufacturing processes, powertrain, project management tools (JIRA), and teamwork.
- Proficient in CATIA (Part Design, Generative Shape Design, Sheet Metal, Assembly Design), ISO GD&T, and design of assemblies/sub-assemblies.
