What you will do
The main deliverables of the PFS are the software (SW) requirements for the ECM (Engine Control Module).
Main duties:
• Design and validation of the system architecture within the internal Renault process (O53).
• Translate the system requirements (official rules, OBD, safety, functional requirements, performance, maintenance, etc.) in SW functional requirements and functional specifications for the components (sensors and actuators of the engine management system).
• Preparation of the SCDR (System Control Design Review) file for the first review with the SW Architect who will manage the SW function design.
• Design of the generic validation plans for his functions.
Management of the SW function development in the upstream phase of the projects and assurance of the technical convergencies for his functions.
Main deliverables:
• SDD – System Design Document (DAS - Dossier Architecture Système, in French).
• Generic System Validation Plan.
What we are looking for
Bachelor's or equivalent in the engineering field: Automotive, Electrical Engineering, Automatics, Computers, Electronics, etc.
+7 years of experience in the field of ECM SW development, validation and tuning.
System engineering.
Embedded SW architecture.
Design and validation methods for embedded SW.
• Safety rules (ISO 26262).
Good understanding of ICE (Internal Combustion Engines) operation and their control systems (air system, combustion, after-treatment, torque structure, etc.).
Good understanding of vehicle EE (electric and electronic) architecture because the ECM interacts with many other ECUs in the car.
Fluency in English and a high level of technical writing quality. French is a nice to have.
