What you will do

The holder of this position will translate functional and dysfunctional system requirements into MATLAB-Simulink specifications according to our rules and software architecture. 

Our team is working on several software functions. For each function we have a dedicated Model-Based Design Leader who manages a group of Model-Based Designers. The candidate will be assigned to one of these groups, working collaboratively on their respective functions. 

Main duties:

• Participate in the functional and dysfunctional analysis of the project needs defined by the Software Project Leader and/or the System Function Leader.

• Plan and deliver the software specifications in accordance with the project planning.

• Design software algorithms.

• Respect software specification design standards. 

• Perform MIL (Model in the Loop) validation and document validation reports. 

• If necessary, check for coherency between Simulink specifications and C code. 

• Analyze software bugs and propose solutions. 

• Prepare technical reports and presentations to inform clients about software developments, respecting our SCDR process (System Control Design Review). Document and archive all developments in a structured manner. 

• Report to the Software Manager/Software Engineering Leader or to the Function Manager and to the Team leader. 

Organizational chart / management:

• Has no subordinates.

• Has no managerial responsibilities. 

• Relations with software clients and suppliers. 

What we are looking for

• Bachelor's or equivalent in the engineering field: Automotive, Electrical Engineering, Automatics, Computers, Electronics, etc. IFP School (France) or similar. 

• Good understanding of ICE (Internal Combustion Engines) operation and their control systems.

• MBD (Model-Based Design) with MATLAB-Simulink. 

• Embedded software architecture. 

• Software design and validation methods. Basic understanding of C.

• Fluency in English and a high level of technical writing quality. French is a nice to have.
