We are seeking a skilled professional to establish and maintain the HORSE SOC for secure operations. The role involves managing the SOC team, developing policies, and keeping the CISO informed. Responsibilities include defining team structure, processes, and technologies, setting strategic priorities, and overseeing 24/7 SOC operations. The candidate will act as an operational partner and report to the Global CISO.
What you will do
- Business Security Operations Governance:
- Ensure timely delivery of SOC services within SLA time frames.
- Act as an escalation point and liaison between SOC, managers, and business operations.
- Develop and maintain SOC policies and procedures.
- Lead the SOC action approval chain and design new service offerings.
- Manage operational issues, risks, and training programs.
- Oversee SOC personnel, enforce controls, and make staffing decisions.
- Improve SOC effectiveness and maintain an innovative growth culture.
- Design continuous service improvement programs and develop security KPI metrics.
- Support Security Operations & Services:
- Participate in SOC Go-live activities and develop contingency processes.
- Ensure standard, repeatable, and tested cyber incident management policies.
- Deliver 24x7 coverage for monitoring, analysis, triage, and incident management.
- Develop comprehensive reports for various stakeholders.
- Security Operations Processes:
- Set direction for policies, standards, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Define and monitor security metrics and KPIs.
- Align information security with business goals and ensure consistent implementation of security controls.
- Conduct audits, internal reviews, and threat hunting exercises.
- Technology Scouting:
- Stay current with emerging security technologies and trends.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement within the regulatory and risk landscape.
What we are looking for
- Proven experience as a SOC Manager, Threat Hunter SME, or Security Operations Lead.
- Skilled in building SOC teams and related technologies/processes.
- Experience in multi-country, multi-cultural environments and migration projects.
- Up-to-date with security threats and cloud security solutions (GCP, Microsoft).
- Strong time management, organizational, technical, analytical, and project management skills.
- Leadership and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Industry certifications (e.g., ISC2, ISACA, GIAC, CompTIA).
- Experience with SOC technologies, SIEM solutions, IT systems, cyber and cloud security, incident response, risk management, and compliance.
- Good English communication skills. French would be a plus.
- Ability and willingness to travel.
