The Senior Commodity Buyer will be responsible to develop and execute the procurement strategies for assigned commodities involving management of supplier relationship, driving cost reductions, ensuring quality and delivery performance and aligning sourcing strategies with company objectives. He/She will work closely with cross-functional teams including Engieering, Supply Chain, Quality, Customs to meet business goals.

What you will do

• Panel management: Develop and implement supplier panel strategy (including market analysis) and sourcing strategies for assigned commodities.
• Supplier Management: Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives (identify cost-saving opportunities), partners with cross-functional teams to evaluate and select the suppliers based on cost, delivery, quality and innovation capabilities.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks (supply chain, raw material , electronic components, geopolitical issues, financial) by developing contingency plans.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Business Administration or Mechanical Engineering.
• Between 5-8 years of experience in the field of direct procurement or commodity management, preferable in the automotive industry.
• Proficiency in written and spoken Business English, any other language is nice to have (Eg. Chinese).
• Knowledge of procurement systems, MS Office and cost analysis tools.
• Availability to relocate to Valladolid.
• Deep understanding of regional global market dynamics.
• Ability to manage cross-functionl teams.
• Capable to anticipate risks.
• Solution oriented person.
• Excellent communication and relationship management abilities.
• Strong negotiation and strategic thinking skills.
