As an IT Infrastructure Administrator at Horse, you will be responsible for the implementation and management of our IT infrastructure, covering servers and network equipment.

What you will do
1. Server Management:
- Perform server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and errors and resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly.
- Oversee Active Directory and virtual servers
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Windows/Linux operating systems.
- Install, update, and patch server software and applications.
- Monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system resources.
- Work closely with the central team to ensure our services align with the needs of both internal and external clients
2. Network Management:
- Manage the deployment of voice & data projects and ensures IT Support activities within Horse Romania, meeting the quality, costs, and deadlines KPI
- Perform IT L2 support for our employees.
- Lead or participate in project realizations and interact with all teams involved (including 3rd party partners).
3. Security and Compliance:
- Implement security best practices to safeguard servers and network infrastructure.
- Perform regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and system hardening.
4. User Account Management:
- Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts and access permissions.
- Provide technical support to users for account-related issues.
5. Backup and Recovery:
- Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures for critical data and systems.
- Test backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and system availability.
6. Hardware and Software Procurement:
- Assess hardware and software requirements, research vendors, and make recommendations for procurement.
- Install and configure hardware components, including servers, storage, and peripherals.
- Maintain internal infrastructure requirements including, laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones.
7. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and policies.
- Generate regular reports on system performance, capacity, and security.
8. Technical Support:
- Provide second-level technical support to resolve complex issues escalated from the helpdesk.
9. Monitoring and Alerts:
- Maintain and monitor the performance of IT infrastructure according to security requirements and best practices.
- Monitor network activity and identify performance issues that may need to be addressed by IT support staff.
- Implement system monitoring tools and configure alerts for proactive issue identification.
- Respond to and resolve critical system alerts in a timely manner.
What we are looking for
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Competencies in access technologies (Ethernet/IP), layer 2 switching (VLAN, STP, LACP), layer 3 routing (BGP, OSPF)
- Competencies in WIFI Cisco, WLC, configuration and operate Cisco ISE
- Competencies in services like DHCP, DNS, Radius, NTP, Tacacs+
- Proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of server operating systems (Microsoft/Linux) and server hardware.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Good understanding of Information Security
- Analytical and problem-solving techniques, excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good English language, spoken and written.
- Driving license B
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Proficiency in network protocols, security, and firewalls.
- IT certifications such as VMware, CCNA, Windows Server, Linux
- Experience in working with an ITSM/ticketing tool (Incident Management, Change Management);
- Technical knowledge in the following technologies: Office 365 (MS Teams, One Drive, Exchange online, SharePoint online), Server virtualization via VMWare& ESX management, Microsoft Clustering Technologies, Scripting tools (PowerShell, command line);
- Experience on Cloud infrastructure is a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Active Directory
